Luxury homes for sale and 10 reasons why Lake Manassas in Gainesville is a great place to live …
Lake Manassas in Gainesville, Virginia is a lovely, gated golf community with over 550 luxury homes in a quiet setting with breathtaking lake views. The homes here are generally 5 to 20 years old, so the neighborhood is established yet the homes still offer newer features and styles.
There are several magnificent resale homes for sale as well as the new Turtle Point Luxury Townhouses currently under construction, complete with optional elevators! If you are interested in looking at any of the homes for sale in Lake Manassas, give Bryan Garcia at a call or Email Bryan to schedule an appointment. My office is just minutes away and I know the area well.
Lake Manassas is one of my favorite neighborhoods in the Gainesville and Haymarket area for the following reasons:
1. All the Homes are Different
Unlike some large developments in the region, most of the homes in Lake Manassas are custom built by several different builders, each one unique. They are mostly traditional home styles, a few contemporary, with varying architectural details and color schemes. There is a cohesive flow through the community as all home styles do blend nicely. Residents are encouraged to maintain their properties to tasteful community standards through HOA guidelines and pride in ownership is ever-present.
2. Beautiful Scenery
This luxury gated community is nestled between two spectacular golf courses and the scenic Lake Manassas. In the spring, the drive into the east entry is lined with rows of gorgeous cherry blossom trees which continue into the neighborhood. Seasonal foliage with mature landscaping fills the neighborhood which is meticulously manicured and maintained in the common areas.
3. Resort-like Amenities
All residents have access to the Turtle Point Swim and Tennis Center included with HOA fees. There are four tennis courts (lit at night), two basketball courts and a children’s playground. The outdoor pool, open Memorial Day to Labor Day, offers plenty of shaded seating, a wading pool and indoor shower facilities. The pool is home to the spirited Lake Manassas Blue Dolphins swim team.
4. Walking Trails
Miles of picturesque walking trails wind through the neighborhood, passing by two golf courses, two ponds with seated docks and views of Lake Manassas. On any given day, year round, you will find walkers, joggers and bikers out and about on the trails and through the entire community.
5. Stonewall Golf Club
Lake Manassas is home to Stonewall Golf Club, touted by national and regional golf publications as one of the finest upscale daily fee public golf courses in Northern Virginia. I belong to a Friday night golf league at this course and I can say first hand that it’s a great place to golf! It offers a challenging Tom Jackson-designed, 18-hole championship golf course, pro shop, lessons and the distinguished Brass Canon Restaurant and event facility. The Patriot Club Rewards Program gives members a free round of golf at sign-up and reduced green fees throughout the year.

6. Robert Trent Jones Golf Club
The private Robert Trent Jones Golf Club features one of the most challenging and beautiful golf courses in the world. It is the self-proclaimed masterpiece of its architect and namesake, the late great Robert Trent Jones, Sr. Membership at RTJ is by invitation only, however the proximity of this club adds to the exclusive, elegant atmosphere of Lake Manassas. Last year RTJ hosted the Quicken Loans National 2015 PGA Tour, which residents attended through ticket purchase.
Wegmans, a favorite supermarket complex known for freshly prepared entrees, ethnic food stations, a fantastic bakery, fine wines and more, opened one of only a few Virginia stores right next door to Lake Manassas (with back entrance) in the Shops at Stonewall. The convenience of this market is a huge benefit to area residents!

8. Shops at Stonewall
The Shops at Stonewall are walking distance away and have just about every family need covered. There’s a Staples (working at home), Michaels (for last-minute science fair supplies), Dicks, PetSmart and Bed, Bath & Beyond. There are also several restaurants including Dunkin Donuts, Bertucci’s and the award-winning The Bone BBQ.
9. Great Schools
The Prince William County School System is consistently ranked high in numerous categories. In fact, in the recent Washington Post Challenge Index Patriot High School (which is the high school for Lake Manassas), ranked #1 in Prince William County and 13th in Virginia and 318 nationally out of 22,000 high schools putting it in the Top 3% nationally. Buckland Mills Elementary and Reagan Middle School are both new schools and are recognized often for their achievements. (Note: with population growth area schools may change districts.)

10. Convenient Location
Situated right off Route 29, Lake Manassas is just minutes from I-66 and Route 15. It’s just 40 miles east of Washington DC and commuter options include the VRE and Amtrak in nearby Bristow and Manassas as well as OmniRide in Gainesville. Points west offer scenic rides out to Warrenton, Middleburg, Skyline Drive and a bunch of great wineries. Lake Manassas is also just a couple of miles from the new upscale shopping center, Virginia Gateway with a Regal Cinemas and lots of trendy restaurants and stores.
